Summer Conferences

May 5, 2008

As we head into May, this is probably the time to think about attending one of the summer conferences. In no particular order:

Animal Rights 2008, August 14-18 in Washington DC. 90 speakers and 60 animal protection groups.

Taking Action for Animals. July 19-21 in Arlington, Virginia. This is the big AR conference put on by HSUS.

Their Lives, Our Voices. June 6-8 in Minneapolis, MN. $50 early bird registration available through this Thursday.

Vegetarian Summerfest. June 18-22 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Much more sociably oriented, with a lot of attention to health and less focus on activism.

Finally, I’m personally planning a very small and highly focused activist retreat in Santa Cruz, California in the second half of the summer. Contact me to let me know if you’re interested.
