Chicago Lifts Foie Gras Ban

It’s a big step backward for animals today, as Chicago has lifted its two-year-old ban on Foie Gras. The New York Times’ coverage hits a new low for that paper’s often abysmal food reporting, with the Time’s Chicago bureau chief calling the ban a source of embarrassment to the city. The Chicago Tribune’s coverage is no better, featuring jubilant quotes few pro-foie gras chefs and nobody else. Link.
