And another bullshit risk analysis from major media:

There was no risk to public health because no part of the animal entered the human food systems, government inspectors said.

The risk isn’t from that animal. The risk comes from the fact that mad cow is obviously still in Canadian herds. And in nearly all cases, it’s likely that infected animals are slaughtered and eaten before symptoms appear.

Saying the public isn’t at risk because nobody ate that particular infected cow is like saying there’s no risk in the coal mine filled with poison gas because nobody ate the dead canary. Link.
