TED just posted a 17 minute video featuring Dr. Dean Ornish titled, “Healing and Other Natural Wonders.” Ornish gets into the Atkins diet, as well as lifestyle ways to address heart disease and cancer.
At one point, Ornish makes a strong case for consuming a few grams of fish oil daily. Happily, you can get your Omega 3s from vegan sources. Keep in mind that while most Americans fail to get enough Omega 3s, vegans who don’t supplement are even worse off since they never eat fish. (Thanks, Mahi.) Link.
