Swine Flu: Prepare for the Worst

Kathleen Sebelius, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, is turning into a real killjoy on the topic of bacon flu. She just told 500 health leaders that they need to make plans for a worst-case situation:

What we need to assume is that it will come back in a much more severe form.

The article reports that the United States has spent more than a half-billion dollars in gearing up to fight the flu. Count this as yet more externalized costs that factory farming has foisted upon American taxpayers. Link.
