Calculating Meat’s Impact on Climate Change

August 4, 2009

Here’s a terrifically wonkish piece that looks into the calculations that go into determining meat’s contribution to climate change. The author ends the article by suggesting readers go veggie or vegan one day a week.

But if that sort of action makes a difference, and climate change is a serious threat, why not take the most effective action you can and go vegan full time?

I’m not suggesting that most people would go vegan to reduce climate change, but the advantages of doing so should at least be stated. (Via CivilEater.) Link.
