Cargill Ignored Chicken Manure Dumping Near Waterways

Chicken giant Cargill’s defense in an Oklahoma water pollution lawsuit is unravelling in a particularly hideous way. One of their company’s top executives just admitted in court that he wasn’t bothering to check whether contract growers were following rules that would limit water pollution.

For once, it’s looking like the chicken industry will be held accountable for screwing up the environment. (Via Matt.) Link.
