New Food Safety Czar Nominated

President Obama has nominated Elisabeth Hagen to be the new Undersecretary of Food Safety, a position that’s been vacant for the past year. Given that there’s been more than two million pounds of meat products recalled in the past week alone, the decision is way overdue.

Everything I’ve read about Hagen indicates she’s super sharp. She better be; she’s got quite a task ahead of her. Link.
