Freezing Livestock Put Mongolia on Brink of Famine

Life doesn’t get any harsher than this. A record cold winter in Mongolia is wiping out the country’s livestock—half may die of exposure before spring. And the country’s impoverished herdsmen have no resources to cushion the blow. (Via Bea.) Link.
