Congratulations to all the leafletters of Vegan Outreach’s Adopt a College program for clearing the half-million mark for the spring semester. I’ve personally handed out almost a thousand of these leaflets this semester, and I regard the six or so hours I spent doing this as some of the most important work I’ve done for animals in 2010. Anyone can take part, either by leafletting or by donating to have more booklets printed, so visit the Adopt a College website to get involved.
I pay attention to the eighteenth ingredient in my bagel because animal products disgust me. But if you’re worried about your bagel’s eighteenth ingredient, and you’re not taking regular action that affects thousands and thousands of animals, your priorities may need rethinking. Vegan Outreach’s Adopt a College program is the best, most reliable, and easiest way I know of to become an animal millionaire—someone who has kept more than a million animals from slaughter.
