Animal Activist’s Handbook Review

This past week, I finished reading Matt Ball and Bruce Friedrich’s Animal Activist’s Handbook. I wasn’t too psyched to read this book because I’ve been an activist for almost twenty years, so how much could I have left to learn? Turns out: plenty. This book would help anyone take their activism to new levels of effectiveness.

The best part of this book is that it’s packed with sample dialogs that can give you useful and thought-provoking responses to the most common statements made by omnivores. If you’ve ever had a conversation with a meat eater that reached an impasse, you’ll find the sample dialogs in this book are a Swiss army knife suitable for just about any situation.

Highly recommended. It would be great to read this book together with Peter Singer’s Ethics Into Action.
