Rip Esselstyn’s The Engine 2 Diet continues to generate favorable media. This time around, we’ve got a fifty-something guy writing about his decision to go vegan back in January.
On balance, this piece is going will probably convince a few thousand more people to become vegan. But it’s not a grand-slam home run. The author jokes about how he’s enjoying antagonizing non-vegans, and I think the only thing potentially more obnoxious than a reformed drunk is a reformed meat eater.
Also, it’s clear he’s not doing all he should to discover new vegan foods on an ongoing basis — which is really the key to making a healthful and sustainable transition without sacrifice.
That said, this piece is still a big win for the animals. (Thanks, Mikey) Link.
