Back on February 8 and 16th, I blogged about Henry’s Turkey Service, a company that was housing mentally challenged men in a substandard building, and paying them just $65 per month to work in a slaughterhouse.
Iowa has since fined the company $900,000, and this week the other shoe dropped: the Department of Labor is suing the company to pay the men wages dating back to 2006. Weird, though: the company has been operating for at least two decades, so I don’t understand why the Feds are only going back three years. (Thanks, Erica.) Link.
