Iowa’s bid to outlaw undercover investigations at factory farms has just suffered a big setback. The Des Moines Register has come out against this insanity, with an editorial headlined, “Reporting facts not a crime.”
For a top newspaper in one of America’s top ag states to take this position is an indication of integrity and some serious stones. Link.
Update: Of course, the Register did let those shitheels at the Animal Agriculture Alliance weigh in with some moronic and totally untrue points. I guess if you’re a top newspaper in Iowa, you can’t get away with calling for decency without kissing the ring. Link.
