The Globe and Mail has just published recipes for a complete Christmas feast. I’m not interested enough to try these recipes myself, mainly because the author begins her article by writing: “I could never give up eating meat…” She then rather cluelessly continues that, for vegans, “the traditional Christmas dinner is typically a nut loaf…”
Leaving aside the off-putting introduction, it’s great to see Canada’s top newspaper running a complete spread of vegan recipes. But if I were doing the cooking for a holiday feast, I think I’d rather go with recipes created by a long-time vegan cook.
Bryanna Clark Grogan is a consistently great cookbook author, and her all-vegan Almost No-Fat Holiday Cookbook would be the first book I’d turn to for a special holiday feast. (Via Toronto Vegetarian Association.) Link.
