The New York Times’ editorial board published a scathing condemnation of factory farming today entitled “The Worst Way of Farming.” Calling it “animal abuse,” the editorial goes on to assert that “industrial animal production is an illusion, made possible by cheap grain, cheap water and prisonlike confinement systems.”

Wayne Pacelle has a good op-ed in the California Progress Report this week about the California ballot measure that concludes, “Reducing the immense suffering that factory farming inflicts on animals is simply a matter of common decency.”
