You know the whole locavore craze — the idea of eating locally-grown food — has either taken off or jumped the shark when Frito Lay drags their potato chips into the act.
The company is offering up a new marketing program to show consumers where their chips have been produced, right down to the location of their plant. Sure, these are fatty, salty, unhealthful snacks, but they’re local.
