A large salami plant in San Francisco has been gutted by fire. Thirty workers were present when the blaze began, but managed to get out safely. It’s looking like a faulty electrical system may be to blame.
This is the second big meat processing plant that’s burned down this month. Two brothers were charged today for having inadvertently caused the July 5th fire that caused $50 million worth of damage to a Smithfield Foods meatpacking plant in Wisconsin. Link.
