A reader asks:
I have tried several attempts at various seitan recipes, and honestly, I’m at a loss…they all have turned out horrible.
Being that the recipes are about the same, any suggestions? I am a pretty apt cook, but I must be doing something wrong and don’t want to have to throw another batch in the trash.
Maybe throw in the towel and buy storebought seitan?
I’ve also got to ask where you’ve gotten your recipes. Many vegan cookbooks suck, as do many recipes from the Internet. Seems like this is the sort of cookbook you could use, and I can vouch for Robin Robertson’s cooking abilities.
