Update From Paul Shapiro

Paul, who runs HSUS’ factory farming campaign, writes:

McDonald’s made headlines this week when it said it would study hen housing systems for the next few years, which drew a skeptical response from HSUS. You can read about the controversy in the Chicago Tribune, the Guardian, UPI, Crain’s Chicago Business, and Nation’s Restaurant News. Also, Wendy’s announced this week it would begin switching some of its eggs away from battery cage suppliers.

AP ran an interesting story this week about the potential for a ballot initiative in Ohio, and the state’s Marion Star published an HSUS op-ed on the topic.
