New York Times editorial praising Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack’s effort to reduce the meatpacking industry’s collusive practices. Sadly, even if Vilsack succeeds, the deepest problems would remain unaddressed.
It’s all kabuki; you don’t get to become a high-ranking USDA official without first selling your soul to animal agribusiness.
