Lancet Reviews Consequences of Shrinking the Meat Industry

The Lancet, which is among the world’s most prestigious medical journals, just published a study on what it would take to substantially reduce agriculture’s contribution to climate change. They found that the necessary reduction in livestock production would likely yield a big bonus in terms of public health: specifically about 15 percent less atherosclerosis-related heart disease.
