More Strides for Vat Meat

The Times has a nice article reporting on recent strides made in producing pork-based vat meat. It seems like progress is speeding up, although there are still serious quality issues left to address. One researcher, Professor Mark Post, says of his team’s creation:

What we have [produced] at the moment is rather like wasted muscle tissue.

But this issue seems likely to be solved. Technology is looking increasingly likely to render pigs, cows, and chickens obsolete. (Via Jon.) Link.
