Cyclone Dairy Hoaxers: Ben & Jerry’s

A few days ago, I blogged about Cyclone Dairy, writing, “I don’t have the slightest idea who’s behind this site, but I can’t wait to find out.”

Now, on April Fool’s Day, the identity of the hoaxers is announced: Ben & Jerry’s. I’ve got to give them lots of credit for executing a funny hoax that shines the spotlight on an important issue.

Here’s a case where I agree totally with an ice cream company: milk from cloned cows sucks and shouldn’t be allowed on the market. But I also think that regular milk sucks too, and shouldn’t be sold either.

Anyway, here’s a four month old report from HSUS on the welfare considerations of cloned farmed animals. (Thanks, Gowri.) Link.
