Here’s the deal. Anybody who passes out 100,000 Vegan Outreach booklets in one semester gets a blog entry here about anything they want.
Victor Sjodin, who was the first (and, so far, the only) person to reach this 100,000 milestone just shot me this email. This guy is endlessly dedicated, and I hope I’ve got some readers who will step up and help his amazing efforts:
This summer, several of us at the Humane League of Philadelphia will be volunteering our time to distribute Vegan Outreach pamphlets at 20-25 different Warped Tour dates. From the Midwest to the Northeast, from Florida to Canada, we’ll be driving all night and leafleting all day to reach as many teenagers as possible with the cruel realities of factory farming and the benefits of going veg. Our experience has been that this outreach is one of the best, most cost-effective ways of getting hundreds of people to make a switch to vegetarianism and veganism!
Unfortunately, the depressed economy has hindered the ability of Vegan Outreach to print as many booklets as we hope to distribute. Therefore we’re asking for your help so that we can reach thousands of additional teenagers at the Warped Tour date closest to you. We’re hoping that you might be able to hold a small fundraiser – a potluck, a bake sale, a movie showing, a yard sale, or anything else – to raise $100 or $200 for Vegan Outreach, which would enable us to reach an additional 1,000 to 2,000 teenagers at the Warped Tour date closest to you!
Would you be able to hold such a fundraiser in the next month or so? By enabling us to reach many more teenagers and cause many more people to go veg, you would directly be saving the lives of hundreds of animals!
Please let us know if you would be able to hold a small fundraiser for Vegan Outreach to help our Warped Tour outreach efforts in your area! If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected] Thank you for putting your compassion into action for animals! Please let me know if you can help : )
