Michael Pollan’s new book, Food Rules, just hit Amazon.com, priced at just $6.60.
Pollan’s paradox is that he constantly offers warped, half-baked, dismissive analyses on the subject of vegetarianism—and yet his writing has doubtless inspired millions to dramatically cut their consumption of animal products. Even at his most infuriating, Pollan never ceases to entertain. I’ll be picking this one up.
Having said all this, nothing I’ve read from Pollan approaches the excellence of Jonathan Safran Foer’s Eating Animals.
